After looking at most of these questions and answers in the last hour... a lot of women support castration and dismemberment of men for certain crimes.

How can you talk about the horror of rape and then turn around and support cutting of a persons arm, leg or penis?

But if I say a woman filing false rape charges should get raped or have her tubes tied.. I get thumbs down. ITS THE SAME LOGIC. Two wrongs don't make a right... doesn't matter if your a man or woman.

Whats with this double standard of female criminals getting a slap on the wrists and male criminals getting ripped apart?

Please explain this to me...

RAPING SOMEONE AND CUTTING OFF A PENIS IS ALSO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT .... do you people listen to yourselves? Do you? Seriously do you?

Aren't you the same person that told us rape is about sex not power? If so then removing the sexual parts would cure the recidivism.

As I am one of those who think sex is about power, no. I am not in the group that would urge such a thing. We need to treat people humanely. Its the mind that needs to be fixed.

I agree with you completly, if we asked such violent questions like that it would be removed. It's considered funny to castrate a male though. People talk as if rape is solely commited by males, which in fact it is becoming so popular for women to physically and sexually abuse a man so they can feel liberated, it's nearly becoming the opposite. In everyday situations men are abused by women all the time. I can say many examples, but to back up what i said i will use 2.

First one is i was at school, this was about a month ago, i was sitting with my mate and we were sitting with two girls.. they suspiciously dissapear under the table and whack my friend in the balls as hard as they could, ohhhh and guess what? The teacher looked the other way! He was on the floor in pain and every one laughed and the teacher just turned the blind eye. Women get away with physically abusing boys in school. That's part of the reason i'm on here, because i feel sorry for boys growing up with all this abuse coming full force at them. And also they will most probably get falsly accused of having ADHD and that will be a result ofthem failing.

The second one is in the general public. On many many occasions girlfriends hit their boyfriends if they get frustrated, get angry at them etc. I have NEVER seen a boyfriend hit his girlfriend because he was annoyed. Yeah it does happen, but it's more socially accepted to hit a boy and get away with it if it had been accepted since the dawn of time.

It sickens me to find out what excuses feminists come up with when those issues arise.

I do not support castration and I don't condone chemical castration either. They do that so they can let the guy out of prison. There is something wrong in the head and that is what needs to be fixed.
I also think that women deserve punishment just the same as do men. There is the case of the female assistant principal who "forgot" her baby was in her car, while she worked for 8 hours. Her child died. She got off. It doesn't make sense to me.
C. :)!!

Your logic makes perfect sense. I hear this crud all the time from women; I'M A WOMAN and every time I hear talk like this it makes me ashamed to call myself a woman.**The double standard goes something like this: the logic of some, not all, women around here, is it's better "you" than "me"; when you put the shoe on the other foot, as you did, they commenced to screaming like banshees what a horrible woman hater you are. Yet, when they do or say such things they're defending themselves; you the man have no right to defend yourself. .

Please read my answers to these other questions. I don't support it. I do think it's cruel and unusual punishment, and I do think it's unjust and unfairly targets men.

I think maybe why others seem to support such things is because of fear- fear that these types of criminals will continue to inflict harm upon society if given the chance. The fact is, this fear is not unwarranted. Most of these types of criminals WILL continue to inflict harm upon society if they are given the opportunity to do so. So fear is a big factor.

Another factor seems to be ignorance. (Sorry to all whom this reference may offend.) Many seem to think that castration will deter sex offenders from committing further acts of violence. But this is not so. And if one understands that rape is not a sexual act, it is an act of violence, then it is easy to deduct that castration will not stop these people from acting out again on aggressive impulses. Chemical castration would not stop these offenders, either. The fact is, the rapist is addicted (see "opponent process theory") to pleasure derived from the acting out of aggression/control. The motive is not sexual gratification- sexual gratification (if it indeed is present) is a by-product, not the motive. Some people just don't seem to understand this. And I suppose it would be difficult to understand if one does not have any insight into the study of human behavior. (Psychology.)

Edit: And yes, anger is another factor: those whose lives have been damaged by those who rape and kill are indeed very angry, esp. those who have not reached a point in the healing process where they can let go of the anger. Many are never able to let go. (Player pointed this out below...and I credit her with making this valid point.)

"Why are women so supportive of cruelty to men?" Because it's trendy, the flavour of the month. Feminist zealots just want men and boys eradicated. Fullstop.

There is anger in women who have been raped. Rage, especially for those of us who's rapist got off scot free while we were left with ruined lives. I don't support castration, but I do know the base angry need for revenge. If my rapist were on fire, I wouldn't help him, I'd roast marshmellows.
And a woman who reports a false rape getting raped? That's sick. It's not the same logic at all. I said this before, if someone wrongly accuses another of murder, should they be put on death row? In your own words, IT'S THE SAME LOGIC. Do you see why this isn't such a good idea now?

I do believe that women should face punishment for falsely accusing men of rape. But to actually suggest that a fitting punishment for lying would be rape is a bit extreme.

I also do not believe that castration is the right punishment for rape.

Maybe the rapists should get raped? Actually, I don't believe that either, but if you think people who lie about getting raped deserve to be raped, what do you think is an appropriate punishment for rapists? (I'm really curious as to what you think.)

Mike, I saw it. You're right. People just can't seem to understand that rape has nothing to do with a penis or a vagina. Rape is in the mind... so I say fry 'em if they're guilty - men or women!

Actually, Mike, it looked to me like way more MEN than women said "yes" to the castration question...so why the sole focus on women? What point are you trying to make by singling women out when men are MORE guilty of "being supportive of cruelty to men" (by your own very unscientific criteria)?

Please explain the point of this...

Seven males to four females answered in affirmative. Others were ambiguous, or their sex was indeterminate, while the rest male and female (female slightly in the lead) were against it.

EDIT-WS3T-I'm not sure what you meant by "we", but it WAS a guy that asked the question about castration, originally.

Im for the punishment of any sex that harms a child, especially in that sick way, people just want them to have the parts taken away that they used to do such a perverse crime to an innocent child.

I also think that actually raping someone and filing false charges are completely different. Not even in the same ball game, its like comparing one punch to the face to a person that gets beat to death.

I dont know how you can be a man and have the point of view you have, either that or you have no children because all the men in my family think the same way that sick people that touch children should have a more severe punishment than jail and being on a list.
