In the past, there were two stock exchanges in the Philippines, the Manila Stock Exchange and the Makati Stock Exchange. The only difference I can see is their location.

Now, there is only one - the Philippine Stock Exchange. The former two exchanges are now connected via computers.

There is the New York Stock Exchange, which is based on Wall Street, New York City and is the largest exchange in the world. It has over 2700 companies listed on it, and has a combined listing value of over $25 Trillion. Companies listed on the NYSE have a three letter ticker symbol, which differentiates them from other exchanges within the US.
Now there are other Exchanges in the world that are like the NYSE, the next largest would be the Tokyo and London Stock Exchanges. Difference here being the names, country of origin and value....nothing too exciting.
Another exchange in the US is the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, which was the FIRST stock exchange in the US (Philadelphia was the Nation's capital at the time...so i guess it just made sense). It isn't nearly as big and popular as the NYSE, but it does the same thing. It was just the first one here doing it.

The New York Stock Exchange is a double auction, open outcry, market to trade securities.

The NASDAQ is a dealer market of computerized quotations that trade securities.

EuroNext is the European stock exchange, it trades in multiple cities, the rules of precedence differ from the New York stock exchange primarily in that large orders take precedence over first arrival orders. It is reversed in New York.

The Arizona Stock Exchange, now defunct, was a single price auction market and hence had no volatility, at all.
