an object is hit given the initial velocity of 6m/s. if the coefficient of kinetic friction between object and surface is .02 . how far will the object travel before stopping

use energy to solve this
The KE is
.5*m*v^2
and the work done by friction is
m*g*u*d
set them equal and solve for d
d=18/(9.8*.02)
d=91.8 m

Did you mean to have u=0.2? if so, d=9.2 m
