I am a grad 1990, I am not here to argue football, but I saw something this year that was or is odd.
What were the chances that WVU would barely hang on in VS. Cin. and when 10 games while losing 1? Combining this with the fact that the only reason we have honestly advanced is that all the teams that have been ahead of us lost?
To wit were not here because were 10 & 1 and beat some ranked teams this year and also won our last two bowls were here because the other leader’s teams ahead of us lost. What is the statistical probability of this happening?
Has this type of thing happened to your team?

mtneer_fan2007 I am noy insulting the Program and it is my opinion that the Cin. game made us look questionable, now we crushed UCONN who was also ranked......
This is meant to be stat.s the point is it appears statistically impossible for everytime we needed a team to lose, well they did.

I have been looking at who sould be up there. WVa did lose only to USF who beat Louisville by 28 vs WVa 7, then USF got beat by Cinn and UConn. So you do make a strong point, ealing from that you hae USF abeting Auburn by 3. I remember they played in one bowl and go the stuffings beat out of them and that could happen this year. I think it was insane to run the jooint uup on UConn, since they beat them by 26 points last year at UConn. But who knows I did try and tell everybody that Philly would not only cover the spread against NE, also might win the game outright.
Anyway it will be fun and they are like 5-1 against Pitt and at home so they might go. i wonder if LSU has called up Curley Hallman. take care. Hawaii and WVa woud be a great game
loto running and passing. JUst noticed that Washington beat Syracuse 42-12 and WVa beat them 55-14 and Ohio State beat Washington 33-14, so that would mean Ohio State would beat WVa 22-14 as per that. if you want to see the entire schedules of teams and lines go to ncsports.com and click on the schedules.

I had been saying for a while that WVU was overrated. Sure their offense and team speed looks good against medicore teams, but when they actually play a good team it shows that they aren't as good as people think they are. We all knew their D wasn't that good. That comes as no suprise. Bottom line is that USF deserves to be a top 10 team and West Virginia is overrated. They are not in the same league as USC, LSU, Florida, and Oklahoma.

Dude you are an ***, and I am ashamed you are a WVU grad.
Preseason WVU was ranked 3rd in the nation, they lost 1 game because Pat White got hurt. Quit trying to say they don't belong there. They stepped up when other teams choked, thats the way college football works, its about being the team to handle the pressure.

Colt Brennan and our Rainbow Warriors Rock!!! WE may have a limp schedule yet each stat blows doors off other teams? WE got a shot at a Cotton/Sugar Bowl if we win again!! Never leave the 50th state out. Many forget we are even part of America.
Washington at Hawaii, next Saturday. As to your boys? Not sure. Mine are getting a rough ride in the WAC because we are sooo
far away? WE are 11th !! Because we are Wac we can't go BCS championship bowl bid.... aloha!!

The probability is pretty good this year. Everyone is losing except Hawaii and they don't want to give them a championship shot. The cut in scholarships has made it so some good players are actually going to these smaller division one schools and they are getting more and more playmakers to become competitive. Kids are going to these schools because they get to play alot sooner than the Michigans and Penn States.

I don't know what the statistical probability of this occuring is because you haven't given a equation but, that is the case this year. It isn't because of who you beat. The mountanieers really just outlasted the rest of the nation. That isn't saying they are better than the squads they are ahead of, they just didn't lose that 2nd game.

The same is happening to Ohio State. They haven't beat a quality opponent and lost to the one good team they played....yet a stumble by Mizzou our WV and they play for the title!!! Ridiculous.
