My grandparents lived in a trailer sitting east to west, my great grandmother lived right behind them in another trailer sitting north to south. From the back door of my grandparents trailer you could see all of my great grandmothers trailer.

My great grandmother had died in her trailer and I was there for a visit about a month later. The electricity had been cut off in her trailer. My grandfather was sitting in the back door smoking a cigarette. He called me to him and asked me if I saw anything in mamaws trailer and I said no, he said "well, sit right here beside me for a minute and then tell me what you see." Now, my grandfather was a firm believer in ghosts, he called them "haints" he could tell story after story of haints he had seen but not that night, he was quiet and we were content to just sit there and look.

more to come...

All of a sudden a light came on, as if from a bare bulb, in mamaws living room, a shadow of her bent over shape appeared to walk across the living room to the picture window areaand sit on the couch. I remember saying "Grandpa, I see a light and a shadow" and he said "You know the electricity has been cut off, right?" and I said "Yes, but I see light and memaws shadow walking across the living room and it's sitting down on the couch."
He told me not to tell anyone that grandma would think I was crazy right along with him.

Another time I was taking pictures of my other grandparents house after they had passed away. I was outside taking a picture of the left side of the house (the kitchen side where grandma spent alot of her time) and for some reason I stood in the exact same place and immediately took another picture of the exact same spot. When I got my pictures back from being developed my grandmothers face was in one of those pictures but not the other one.

Another time after my grandmother died but before my grandfather passed I was at their house visiting. I was sleeping in the back bedroom. All of a sudden I had this urge to look through her mothers wardrobe. I got up, turned the light on and looked through the drawers, nothing of importance there so I laid back down. I get the urge again only stronger so I get up again and went through the drawers more carefully, nothing there so I laid back down. I get the urge yet again but this time it's telling me to get a flash light and look under the wardrobe. I get up, hunt a flashlight and pull the bottom drawer out and start looking. I found a gold baby ring. I had never seen this ring before, didn't even know it existed. I went back to bed and the feeling it was a gift from my grandmother from the beyond. I still have it and it means the world to me.

Tff Steve! I'd guess you'd die half deaths each time unless they happened back to back. :~

I totally believe .... when I was little (about 9) my grandmother died (she lived with us) and after she died I saw her shadow walk into the bathroom upstairs near my bedroom.
Nothing for years. I'm 49 now.
We're in an apartment now (that I love) and we have HAD a definite "haint" -- ha ha that's cute. I have seen it but can't make out who it is -- it's a white shadowy figure -- it's been gone for a while but I saw it a lot and so have my grandchildren. It would turn toys on and knocks things off shelves -- playing silly games - nothing bad. My grandbabies pointed and smiled......I wish the ghost would come back. I always hoped it was my dad -- which would be LIKE him to come check on us and his great grandbabies. But I don't know for sure who it was.

The house I grew up in was, and probably still is, inhabited by ghosts. I'm not sure how many, but I saw at least two, my sister saw three different ones, and my mother saw at least one.
At about 2 am one night when I was 14 I woke up and saw what I thought was a man looking down at me on my bed. I didn't move and thought about what to do. I thought someone had broken into our house and was standing there deciding what to do to me. My bedroom door was still closed, and so were the windows. I couldn't figure out how the man got into my room, but there he stood looking at me. I thought I had to do something fast in case he was going to pull a knife or gun and kill me. I hadn't heard any noises, so I thought my parents and my sister were still in their rooms asleep. I decided to hit him as hard as I could and just hope the noise would wake up my parents so they would come help.
The instant my fist touched him, he disappeared and I landed on the floor from the force of my swing.
There are also ghosts on my land in Bedford County, Virginia. I don't live there now and feel strange when I visit...

Sounds like your grandmother is just trying to let you all know that she is OK, and happy, and looking out for you.
My aunt used to stay with us a lot when I was young. She had a small Pomeranian dog that she taught a bunch of tricks too, and she was always spending time with that dog. One time, my aunt went out of state on a trip, and left her dog at her moms (my grandmothers) home. I was about 8 years old, it was late in the evening, and my mom and I were sitting on opposite ends of the couch, watching TV. Suddenly, that little dog, ran from my moms end of the couch, to my end, then jumped down across my legs, and disappeared. I looked at my mom, who was looking at me, and we both asked at the same time "did you see that"?. We tried to figure out how that dog got there but could not find any way. My mom called my grandmothers house and found out that the little dog had passed away a little while before she called. I still think that dog was looking for my aunt to say good bye.

Well when I was a kid I often would like to sleep next to my mom. One night when I woke up I saw her no longer sleeping next to me. so, i went out of the room to look for her i figured she might be in the wash room or my sister's room. When I was in the living room I saw her sleeping in couch but she looks so thin & sick I told her mom what happened to you? & why are you sleeping in the couch? When I got closer to her i was even reaching to touch her...she was gone... i ran to my sister's room i had a hard time opening it then when it opened i cried & had the blankett covered my entire body everytime i sleep since then ... :((
