- Those individuals are mentally sick so (chemically) castrating them will not make a difference.
- Steroids can replace their natural testosterone production.
- Punishments have to be equal regardless of gender. Do you propose we cut open women and remove their ovaries?
- What if it is later found the punished was innocent?

I agree with you- if men are to be castrated, what would be the equal punishment for women who commit the same types of crimes? And it is cruel and unusual (and therefore unethical) to punish a mentally ill person in such ways. Nor is it an effective deterrent for the commission of further acts of violence. In fact, it would likely increase the likelihood of violence. (My opinion.) Castrating someone will not take away this person's aggressive impulses...these impulses will just be carried out in other ways.

A tatoo on the face of an abuser would give some people a chance of avoiding them and keeping their children away from them while castration would not be seen by anyone. Abuse can take many forms which may not involve the sex organs at all. The abuser usually has more than just sexual urges, it is also psychological. If the abuser was found to be innocent the tatoo could surgically removed, the testicles could never be sewn back on. The chemical castration seems quite a good idea, but along with the Tatoo as a warning to everyone. A tatoo would even be useful in the case of female abusers. Monthly checks by the local police force on the tatoo to make sure it is still visible would be essential.

Just like we make bad horses geldings, we should castrate men and make them eunuchs.
Also we can do the seem to women by removing her ovaries, so it can be also done to women. Also because only women can give birth, I believe that women should be held to a higher standard.

Those are probably the same people that think that banning guns will stop crime.
Since they know little about the subject they are dealing with,(either because of lack of information or just plain stupidity), they choose a QUICK FIX that sounds like it would address the problem and sounds good to those around them.
Since the problem doesn't affect them they can't relate, so they just throw out whatever stupid idea that pops into their heads

When someone who was abused thinks of what that person did to them, they just want to cause that person as much pain as they were caused. Plus, an abusee does not want the abuser to have the opportunity to hurt anyone else's daughter, son, mother, cousin, aunt, sister, brother, etc. Think about how you'd feel.

Testosterone plays a large part in controlling the male sex drive; no testosterone no sex drive.

Yes; if a woman sexually abuses someone then she also should be spayed (is that even the right word for humans? It sounds wrong!).

I think that if we sent the abusers straight to the firing range that would get the message across that we aren't going to tolerate them destroying our innocent children anymore.

criminals tend to have 3 traits -

they dehumize the victim

they minimize the violence

they offer anger, not sympathy.

they say some FR proponents mimic the characteristics of perpetrators.

certainly, i see mimicking here on this forum.

it is extremely insulting to read these so-called discussions of rape and to see the language and harshness of the questions and answers.

how low can it go? what is the bottom? it gets to the point where it isn't human anymore, is it? it's just cold and disgusting and pitiful.

i completely agree.
they will find another way to abuse if that's their thing.
and if it's not (wrongfully convicted) then they were permanently disfigured for no reason.
plus, there is no equivalant for females.

(the voluntary chemical 'castration' Object refers to seems like a good idea, though.)

Such a punishment would go under the 2 wrongs make a right category.

Maybe women who file false rape charges should actually get raped...? That's the same logic as castrating a man for a sex crime.
