I'm aware of our fiat money system. However I believe it has been a boon to our nation, not needing to be fought back against.

Look at how fast our economy has grown, and our people's lives have improved since the Federal Reserve was started.

Look at how quickly we recovered from the dot.com bubble bursting and economic hit from 9/11, because the Fed pumped more money into the system and lowered interest rates. Those events combined should have led to a bad recession.

Also look at how poorly gold has done in the last 25 years or so. In 1980, gold was selling for around $800 an ounce. In 2007, about the same, yet the dollar has lost roughly 60% of it's purchasing power according to the CPI in that time.

That translates to a loss of 60% in the real value of gold during that time.

No thanks. The Federal Reserve Dollar has been the place to have your money in for the last 60+ years. Current trends may very well be only temporary. I'll stick with what we have for now.
