Frankly I'd like to see her sprung from jail by the SAS!
In the past being a British citizen abroad gave someone confidence that they'd be helped out of a crisis. There was a time when nations feared mistreating our people because we were a force to be reckoned with. Now I think our pride has been replaced by political correctness. I hate what we've become.

Jennifer. I don't agree with you. The teacher taught in a mixed faith school for one thing. This is politically motivated. Iran tested us over the sailors and now Sudan is testing us. I hope we don't show weakness twice.

We can do nothing, it is down to the government and we know how competent they are. Besides they are so PC and afraid to upset the sensibilities of Muslims that they would rather this poor woman took her 40 lashes and disappered. The British Council of Muslims have more sway with this shower than the views of the electorate. You are totally right in your hatred of what this country has become and why. You are not alone, millions share your view. Trouble is no one is listening, and before long it will all be too late anyway, Britain as it was will no longer exist R.I.P. my country.

I think Sudan are doing this just for the attention. Nobody in their right mind would ever think this is right. The government there has seen how much the media spotlight is on them and is making the most of it, I'm sure it makes them feel powerful.

The Government, we hope, will be working their diplomatic magic with all of us behind them.

This woman was utterly stupid but we can't sit back and leave her fate to people who don't understand her culture and that she was just plain ignorant.

She has caused a political incident both here and abroad and she best look remorseful when she gets back home, if she is spared.

We should all sign a petition for our useless Government to get involved, with her release.

She went there by her own choice, now she has to live by their laws. I wish the government would outlaw travel to muslim countries.
