I am little more that a back yard mechanic but have been repairing and rebuilding engines for 25 years and I am stumped. My friend has a 1998 (I believe this is the year) Ford Fiesta. She took the car to a mechanic after putting two batteries in her car. The mechanic told her he thought she had simply bought two faulty batteries. LOL! He sold her a third high dollar battery. The problem persists. The battery will start the car a few days and then die. I have started the car and removed the battery and driven it without problems.

The Alternator has been tested therefore this is not the problem.

I would check the exciter cable from the alternator which runs along the bottom edge or the radiator. as this can give the symptoms of a faulty alternator.

Sounds like the alternator is not charging the car up properly. Or you may have a drain on the battery. Check the grounding to the engine or frame to see if there are any problems there.

My dear problem is very simple.....Car alternator is not charging the battery.....and as you mentioned that you started the car and remove the battery and driven without problem...so just to let you know....if you start the car and remove the battery ...it will work for very Short period of time but after that it can even burn your entire electrical wiring of car......
