The news channels showed Saddam telling us sent in anyone you want to check us out, we have nothing to hide, then Bush said he had to leave. Had he gone to say France as many others have before, what would have happened then?

Sadam could have lived the rest of his life in peace in San Fransisco under their sanctuary city policies...he would have felt right at home.

Bush still would have invaded, as that was their plan all along. Nothing was going to stop that. After all, remember that the whole given reason for the invasion was WMD's, and shortly before the invasion began, Saddam finally relented and offered for inspectors to come in to check for the existence of such weapon programs. But, of course, Bush chose not to take him up on that offer. Because had the inspectors come in and found that there were no WMD's, that would have taken away the entire impetus for the invasion.
This was all about making money for Bush and all his corporate cronies (Halliburton, Blackwater, big oil, etc.).

Some Americans actually deny this ever happened. as this is completely embaressing for their arguements about saddam..particularly in light of the saddam & 9/11 stuff, they try to sell.

Interesting thought - he'd be alive today and we wouldn't be in Iraq. We would would only have a small amount left in Afghanistan by now.
I wish he would have listened.

Well he probably would have returned to iraq by now or waited untill Bush left office.
At any rate I doubt we would have invaded.
