You can be arrested and held in jail until the next hearing date.

Why would you do anything to help someone beat you?

A subpoena is a court ORDER. If you were subpoenaed, you MUST appear by law and you CAN be arrested if they want to charge you.

More importantly, WHY didn't you show up??? How will your ex ever learn to avoid violence if he doesn't pay for it when he commits it?

Call the DA with a good reason; may be looking at a bench warrant to MAKE you appear.

depends alot on how the judge felt that morning, you might get lucky and nothing will come of it and they will just have thrown the case out of court, alot of those cases are tossed out ....good luck though
