I was looking for other versions of the name Samantha, to keep the nicknake sam.
I came across the name Samarie.
It's cute, but i feel it could be a struggle to say.
Then i found a version, Samany.
I think it's beautiful, and easy to pronounce, [sam - inn - eee].
What are you're thoughts, for a daughter named Samany.

I don't really like it, I'm sorry to tell you. It makes me think you're trying to say "salmony", like the fish. It's also hard to guess what it is until you read the pronounciation. Seriously though, Samany only makes me think of the fish. Samarie's easier to figure out than Samany. Thanks.

Edit- By the way, I find Samara to be a beautiful name as "Irish Mommy" suggested.

Just reminds me visually of "so many" or audibly of "inseminate." LOL Sorry.

You might try Samara, Samira, Samina, Samuela or some other actual name along those lines, however, if it's "Sam" you want. Try looking here: http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?nmd=n&terms=sam* I've linked you to a list of names beginning with Sam-, but I'm certain you could find a few other options if you really tried. Very accurate site, by the way. Hope it helps!

I think Samany is dumb. Samarie sounded really ethnic, but it grows on you.
keep it simple, kids will grow up having to correct people all the time, and what a pain that is.

I think I actually prefer samarie. samany sounds a bit like salmony.

I think that Samany is more difficult than Samarie. I don't particularly like either one though.

Before I saw how you pronounced it I was thinking it was Sam-an-e. I do like the first name though. But I am not to keen on Sam.

I think it's apalling, contrived, pretentious and made up.

If you want to call it Samantha, then choose that. Otherwise, pick an actual name.

it doesnt look like its pernounced Sam Inn ee.
It looks like

" Sam An Aye "
And i dont find that people will pernounce it ' Sam inn eee. '
And it would just be a stuggle saying "no, its Sam-in-e"

i don't understand why parents try and find the weirdest most unconventional names for their children nowadays. Why don't you stick with something normal.
