Emo- Fireparty/Hawthorne Heights

Hardcore-Turbenegro/Minor Threat/Discharge/Charged GBH/The Exploited

Ska-Operation Ivy/DanceHallCrashers/Reel Big Fish

Punk-Sex Pistols/Green Day/X Ray Spex/999/Bad Brains/Patti Smith/Outl4w/Dead Kennedys/AFI(old stuff)

Pop Punk-Ramones/Green Day/Blink 182/Sum 41/NoFX/Buzzcocks/Generation X

Here are some songs i recommend

Emo-
I dont know any sorry :( ermm * We are like so last year by Hawthorne Heights maybe..

Hardcore-
Seeing Red by Minor Threat
Fcuk The USA- The Exploited
Nazi Punks Fcuk Off-Dead Kennedys
Prayer of the Reefugee- Rise Against

Ska Punk
Unity by Operation Ivy(i think is the only great punk band)
Yellin in My Ear by Operation Ivy
Knowledge by Operation Ivy

Punk
Sex Pistols-Pretty Vacant/Anarchy in The UK/God Save The
Queen/No Feeelings
Green Day- Longview/Welcome to Paradise
Dead Kennedys- Holiday in Cambodia/California Uber Alles
Misfits- Walk Among Us
X Ray Spex- Oh Bondage Up Yours! (really good song!!)
Ramones- Wart Hog/ Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue
Blink 182-Josie/Dammit
Sum 41- Never Wake Up
Buzzcocks-Autonomy

Pop Punk
Ramones- Sheena is a punk rocker/I dont wanna grow up
NoFX-Dont call me white/Perfect Goverment
Buzzcocks-Ever Fallen In love
Blink 182- Dumpweed/Party Song
Sum 41-March Of The Dogs

BTW if it were up to me..I would take off anything labelled pop punk.. Pop Punk makes you think of bands like backstreet boys or simple plan or other stupid boybands..
Bands like Green Day and Blink are labellled Pop Punk just because they have melodical and catchy music.. When they dont use any pop music features.
In my dictionary- bands like gd and blink are punk bands- they have punk influences/they come from a punk scene and they DO play punk music..

Hope that helped!

My Favorites:
Hardcore: Suicidal Tendencies, Minor Threat, Black Flag

Good Ole Punk: The Ramones, Sex Pistols, Bad Brains, Dead Kennedys, Dead Milkmen, Subhumans, Dr. Know, Social Distortion

Ska Punk: The Clash is the only one I listen to and I dont know if they're considered true Ska Punk

Dont listen to EMO

Pop Punk (what I listen to mostly nowadays) MXPX is great, also Blink 182, Good Charlotte, Mest, Green Day, NewFound Glory

Hope this helps!

Just go spend the 9 dollars on the re-release of Energy by Operation Ivy.

****
Fine--- Since everyone is getting so picky...

Ska Punk/Punk - Op Ivy (Knowledge, Unity, Sleep Long)

Punk - Minor Threat (Filler, Minor Threat, Bottled Violence)
Hardcore - Blood for Blood
Emo - Don't Care for it. But try The Get Up Kids or Jimmy Eat World

Sigh----
