Has she recently had her jabs? both my kids wake up more and go off their food after their injections. If not then maybe she is going through a growth spurt but that would only explain why she is awake more. maybe she has a cold or is feeling a bit unwell. my son at the mo has a chesty cough and doesnt want as much food as normal. i would see your doc or health visitor for advice if you are worried or if she isnt eating that much as i can only give you my suggestions from my personal experience. All the best!

As for sleeping less during the day - as they get older they start to stay awake for longer stretches because they are getting more interested in their environment and can handle longer periods of activity before getting tired out from overstimulation. I think at 2 months my baby was taking short naps (30-45 minutes) about 4 times a day or so. It was like she just had to recharge her little battery and then she was good for another couple hours of interacting and learning about her new world. It wasn't until she was about 5 months old that she could stay awake for 3 or 4 hours at a stretch and then she went down to only 2 naps a day but they were longer (1 to 2 hours each).

The main thing I noticed with my baby is that her sleep habits were constantly changing month to month - just when I thought I'd had her "figured out", she would change again! She's now 9 months and seems to be transitioning to only one nap a day, so I'm still trying to "figure it out".

Try not to worry too much about the sleep habits, just follow your baby's cues and let her decide how much sleep she needs. I spent too much time worrying about getting my baby to sleep when she was little (because she never slept the "recommended" 15-16 hours a day for her age) and I should have just spent that time enjoying her and now I regret that because they are only little for a short time, cherish every moment you have together!

P.S. As for the spitting up, I'm not sure what's going on there, I'd check with her doctor, might be a formula intolerance or reflux. Definitely see her doc about it. Good Luck!

sounds like maybe the formula isn't agreeing with her. Take her to the doctor.....they can change her formula. As for the wake fullness.....she is probably becoming more aware of her surroundings and wants to see what's going on around her. Take her in for a check up, if you feel uncertain.

This is when you pick up the phone & call her doctor, to be on the safe side. That's what your doctor is there for.
