would sugar gliders be alright to own if you had asthma?

if you had severe asthma would they be alright? and are they legal in New England?

Sugar gliders don't cause the same kind of allergic reaction that animals like cats, dogs, and birds that have dander do. Very few people have an allergic reaction to gliders, probably like 2-5%. I'd recommend checking out http://www.sugarglider.net and see if anyone else has dealt with gliders and asthma.

any contact with an allergen will result in an allergic reaction, asthma or hay fever. If you can avoid contact you will get better. If you are allergic to animals, you should not own them.

yes as long as you have an inhaler when you play with him/her
