Because PETA isn't really concerned with one little beagle when there are bigger stories which will get them more media attention. PETA is all about sensationalism, they want the media attention, the spotlight, the controversy. I personally cannot stand them, I think they are all attention seeking loonies and closet eaters, sneaking burgers into their mouths when no one is looking. On the other note, I hope there is a special place in hell for who ever skinned the beagle. That is just freakin' sick.

Some of the other comments are right, PETA really doesn't give a hoot about our pets, they absolutely love media attention. look at when Micheal Vick got busted, PETA were the first ones to stage a protest against killing dogs, but wait, aren't PETA the same ones that are FOR the eradication of ALL pit bulls and "pit bull type" dogs?? They have already killed thousands of peoples pets, without the help of Micheal Vick. what a bunch of phony old english broads.

I don't blame you for being upset, one look at the words " three year old beagle is skinned alive." make me choke up inside.
There truly are some sick bastards in this world that deserve the death sentence for crap like that, because not even PETA could stop that, seriously the law needs to be way tougher on crimes of such brutality.
I'm glad that alot of Circus' now don't have performing animals as much.

I'm sure they didn't know about the incident. They would be true hypocrites if they condoned the torture of an innocent pet, and picketed a circus, which usually provides excellent care their animals.

It's a matter of what they can do to help the living animals, i.e. all the animals being forced to perform 'acts' in the circus. It's a noble cause, and they've shut down many a circus, or made them animal free, through their efforts.
That Beagle story makes me so angry I can't even comment on it right now.

I agree with you, I think PETA focuses on a HUGE picture when there are many smaller ones they could be changing. That story is awful by the way.

that just breaks my heart and makes me soo mad at the same time. maybe you should send this to PETA and ask them this. People that do stuff like this to animals are going to worst things to people. They have problems nobody does this just because.

i once saw peta protest in front of a kfc and someone was even in a big yellow chicken outfit!!! its crazy what they will do to save a baby chicken from not being a chicken nugget.
