My cup (runnith) over. I am alive, the day is beautiful and tomorrow is right around the corner and I always try to look ahead with eagerness and anticipation!

Sure there are dark times, I am no Pollyanna but I believe that this, too, shall make me strong!

For now I have a great family, friends that love me and a busy and inquiring mind. What more could one ask for?

My cup has never been empty (bone dry) and has either rarely overflowed or often, depending on your definition. So if by runnith over this would apply to a specific moment and a specific event then I suppose it's runnith over many, many times.

Moments of great joy, great happiness, perhaps something I've accomplished that I'm very proud of, always seem to be tempered by the reality check that the rest of life's living pulls the moments of great joy back towards a balancing middle ground within a short time.

An example: I spend a great deal of time to finally finish a painting I'm very proud of. But no matter how much personal satisfaction doing so brings me in the back of my mind there is always the lingering reality that I'll still have to get up the next morning and head off to work to make the money to keep the roof over my head.

This, I suppose, is the best thing for most of us because without those moments of joy and happiness then dealing with the moments of stress and pain would seem almost unbearable.
