Natural state of existing? Being, because it comes before doing. We do however only do that which is natural, as humans cannot perform the unnatural.

Human Doing! Without something to DO all the time, whether it is using a computer, watching a program on tv, making meals, shopping, caring for loved ones, working, gardening, even sleeping, we are always DOING something.
Just try sitting and just being once, without thinking, without looking around, without listening.

i think being is more basic than doing.

doing is one action that can come out of our being.

think of a person who is in a vegetative state. being but not doing much. maybe breathing.

Being is doing... isn't it? :) Just as existing is doing.

This is a question that really cannot be answered because it presumes that being and doing are separarte things. They are not. :)

there are two fundamental needs, food and shelter, neither of which present themselves readily.
So, if you don't 'Do' then you don't exist.
