Aren't Mexicans doing a lot of good in the US?

I understand and agree illegals should be sent back, but I get the impression from some posts that it goes beyond that. Like we should attack Mexico, or shoot border crossers on sight. I just think people should look at the issue sensibly.

Yes, some of them are doing what looks in the short term to be good. In the long term, its something else.

I've heard people argue about how they act as farm workers for low pay or fill jobs that no American wants to fill. The problem is that when you have problems, you should find a real way to fix it, not throw in a cheap substitute.

Should we shoot them on sight or declare war on Mexico? Certainly not. People need to tone down the rhetoric a little and think before they say things.

I will admit I am biased toward not shooting Mexicans since my wife is a second generation citizen, descending from Mexico.

With the exception of those the few with such radical points of view, taking such harsh actions is not on any rational American's agenda. It has become fashionable to label illegal immigration as a good thing, but the reality is much more sobering.

Illegal aliens, which became criminals the moment they crossed the border, have taken jobs from legal, law-abiding Americans. But it is those hiring these criminals that must be dealt with, otherwise the trend will continue.

The border must be secured and the illegals sent back. Likewise, employers who hire without proper documents should face massive fines and even jail.

The core of the problem is the horribly corrupt Mexican government. Mexico is a rich country, but only a tiny fraction of the population gets even a sniff.

No illegal is doing anything positive for the US. I have no problem shooting border crossers on sight and leaving them for dead. Shoot any rescuers too.
