I have only one hd 85Gb. I followed the instructions given in the other posts (http://au.answers.yahoo.com/answers2/frontend.php/question?qid=20070912125332AAFqbGX)
and checked if the plastic jumper is at the correct set of spins -> its like here [ : | : : . ] then I checked if the hd is connected properly. It's connected to IDE1 connector and CDROM to the secondary IDE2 connector on the mother board. In BIOS I set primary IDE master as hd, and secondary IDE slave as CD/DVD, then I left with nothing secondary IDE master , and in secondary IDE slave there were some letters and numbers like GCR8523B whatever it means. After rebooting the error disappeared but the comp started to rebooting over and over again. I can't open BIOS anymore as anytime I press the buttons on the keyboard it's not reacting but just doing the same which is coming to a moment when it reboots again. When it starts I can see : auto detecting prim.master-hard disk, sec. master-not detected,sec.slave-CDROM HELP ME PLS

Hi. Try disconnecting the power to the CD-ROM and see if it boots. If it does then your CD-ROM wants to be the Master on the second IDE cable, I think.

Unplug the hard drive and go back into the bios....see if you can set the bios to auto detect...save settings....power off...reconnect hard drive.
