Yeah, the gold coin with the native american girl on the front is. I cant spell her name, but it sounds like Sak-a-ja-we-a. The only problem is that most vending machines dont take them cus of their larger size.
I know that after the state quarters are done this year, they are planning to do the presidents on (silver) dollar coins.
Actually the old really large half dollars and the old HUGE silver dollars are legal tender too. My mom gets them all the time from work. She likes to buy them from her office (accounting) and save them up as vacation money. since they look different she doesnt spend them. Some people ask what they are when we've spent them. lol.

Yes they are legal tender in the US or in any country that allows foreign money to be converted. No or business can refuse legal tender money unless they don't have change for it.

Yeah, they are legal tender. With the exception of certain vending machines which aren't set up for them, you can spend them anywhere.

Yep, silver dollars and the newer gold-tone dollars. I used to work at Target... got them all the time. Along with 50-cent pieces and $2 bills.

Yes, but most retailers loathe them. There's no place for them in the coin trays.

Yes, they're legal. Most people keep them that's probably why you don't see them given as change.
