I keep getting ghost images on the background of print pages. For example, when I print out a report, I would get a full print, but halfway through the page, there is ghost image of the same report I am printing.. So Anybody know what is causing this and how to stop it??

Try a different cartridge.

If that's also doing it, you got toner usage turned up too high, though I thought only older machines have adjustable, the newer ones are all adjusted internally via software.

One of two things either toner cartridge is bad (usually bad wiper blade inside or if you had it refilled the may have used a poor quality toner ) or the fuser is bad which is a greater cost between $100 to $200 , Change toner cartridge first, these machine do not use a corona wire as one person stated.

Take it in for repair.....this is the result of the transfer roller not being discharged before the next image is put on it....could be the roller....could be the corona wire going bad...

No need for repair, all you do is go into the printer settings and turn off the background image.
