Ken Kennedy's not on Smackdown anymore, kiddo. I do see the logic though, Kennedy going to Smackdown after Rumble to challenge for the title. That would be a nice twist.
Who needs to win the Rumble though. Either Hardy would be a good pick, as would Triple H or Y2J, because all four men really need the credibility boost. My biggest fear is that Lashley will come back around Rumble time and dominate from the 15th or 16th entry, which would be good for him, but he really doesn't need to be pushed as a main eventer.
I didn't catch Raw this week, so I know of no interaction between HBK and Trips, but the rumble's in January, so they have time to build up any rivalries really, although I think they're going to carry out Kennedy v. Michaels for at least until Armageddon and Triple H v. Jeff a little longer, since that feud's just kick starting and Jeff needs the build up. I could see it extending into Royal Rumble, and at least being played on during the Rumble match itself. Maybe have Jeff eliminate Trips, or both men eliminate one another.
I'm hoping they recycle the Hardy v. Edge angle soon, which gives me reason to hope and hold out for Matt winning the rumble, but he'd have to enter at a really high number, well into the 20 entries because he's just not a credible survivor in such a match. Then again, neither was Rey Mysterio.
I'll make a safe bet and say Taker. I'm hoping Edge will beat Batista at Armageddon and spend most of January dodging the Dead Man, only for Undertaker to win the Rumble with an unpresidented 2 in a row victory in the gimmick match. Everyone's pandering for Taker v. Edge at mania, and it is the most ideal match for Smackdown right now, really. My money's on Taker cleaning house, possibly at a very low number, maybe even at entry 1, although it would be predictable

HHH vs HBK is the current plan so there's about 70% chance it will happen because HHH wants it to happen.
The Elimination Chamber match is being brought back for the WWE No Way Out pay-per-view in February.
The storyline going into WrestleMania 24 is that the winner of the Royal Rumble in January will get to decide the champion he wants to face at WrestleMania. Then, the champion who isn't chose will have the Superstars from his brand go into an Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out. The winner of the Chamber match will get the other available title shot at WrestleMania 24.

Winner of the Royal Rumble will be Triple H or Chris Jericho.... depends on who wins the WWE Title off of Orton.
Cuz at Wrestlemania 24 it will be Chris Jericho vs Triple H.
Matt Hardy will probably win MITB at WM 24.
I'd hate to admit it but that is probably what will happen.
I'd rather have Y2J vs HBK at WM 24 but knowing how much HHH is overrated it will happen.
Then Matt or MVP will win MITB.
