A young reporter went to a retirement home to interview an aged but legendary explorer. The reporter asked the old man to tell him the most frightening experience he had ever had.

The old explorer said, "Once I was hunting Bengal tigers in the jungles of India. I was on a narrow path and my faithful native gun bearer was behind me. Suddenly the largest tiger I have ever seen leaped onto the path in front of us. I turned to get my weapon only to find the native had fled. The tiger leaped toward me with a mighty ROARRRR! I just soiled myself."

The reporter said, "Under those circumstances anyone would have done the same."

The old explorer said, "No, not back then - just now when I went ''''ROARRRR!''''"

If you only knew the pastures I have explored & the ravines I have crawled out of, then you'd know that exploration is KEY to the unknown & having a side road is better than a B plan. You have to be willing to cut your own path in some terrain. Does "ROARRRR" sound like a wet a pair of wet ones or an infomercial for a stain remover?

That's totally funny. I went cave exploring once and only once. Middle of summer and when I stepped into the cave it was amazingly cool. The further we walked in the cooler it got and you could see several different tunnels. Some of them were huge rooms the size of a football stadium. Some you could barely squeeze through. One hell of an exploration.

The only kind of exploring I do is breaking the ice. You know? When you do an activity to get to know people. I think that is exploring. That is exploring to me. For real. You know? I like to explore. I like to break the ice. You know? I think that is a good exploration activity. It is exploration! For real! It is! Just think about it. That is exploration. For sure. I know it is. I remember when I was in fifth grade, the teacher did an ice-breaker activity. It was fun. It was exploring! OK!
