You always hear about lil wayne, jeezy and countless other rappers talking about how much money they have and how rich they are.
Obviously they must have a considerable amount of money since you see them living in huge mansions, driving really nice cars and wearing the finest jewelery and clothing.

Many new rappers get advances on stuff like that and have to pay for it later. With music downloading how it is, only the rappers you see touring frequently or doing other mainstream things (movies, clothing lines, that are actually successful) are making the money. Most of the stuff in videos is rented. Just like non-celebrities, some are probably spending money on stupid stuff like chains and rims and not putting money in the bank. You know someone like Jay-Z is making money (wasn't he in Forbes?) because he has so many other ventures. I think Cash Money's money is for real because they produced so many people and Lil' Wayne is still hot. then you have to imagine someone who's been out as long as Lil' wayne has should have learned some lessons about money.

A lot of things they have in videos or cribs they rent... but on Vh1 they tell the net worth's on the fabulous life of...

Apparently they have enough for bling, large cars, parties, and private jets. Oh yeah-let's not forget the cribs.
