It depends- are you one of those idiots who never even heard of him before "Pirates of the Caribbean" or "Once Upon A Time in Mexico" and now you think he's the ****, or have you actually watched his old stuff? 21 Jump Street, Nightmare on Elm Street, Benny and Joon, Don Juan de Marco, Platoon, Crybaby, just to name a few. I hated it when he got so popular when POTC came out, but none of those people even knew that he actually had an outstanding career before those movies!
In short, Johnny Depp is an amazing actor who can, and has, played every type of character you could ever imagine; villian, hero, wacko, straight, retarded, young, old, smart, dumb, and everything else in between! It's too bad great actors eventually have to stop acting...

Well I like Johnny Depp too. Loved him from the days of 21 Jump Street to Pirates of the Carribean. My favorite role of his has to be either in Benny and Joon or Don Juan DeMarco though. What's the point of this question though? You obssessed with him? Two points :).
