It seems that no matter what negative reports people or the press report here on y/a there is always and I mean always a viable explanation for Ron Pauls or his campaigns actions which makes him seem to be a better candidate once all the facts are on the table - do you believe this to be true ? Or do you think he is like the rest of the candidates with secrets and doublespeak (if so why?)

Sorry sarge but I have been hearing that since the war began -There will always be resentment for us there from the "free " Iraqi people and they will continue to violently fight each other for more power no matter what democratic system is put in place

It's hard to sling mud at an honest man.

When he brings various current logical fallacies, something that both sides have ample inclination to participate in, you can't easily argue your way out of it.

The only recourse is to either agree with the debater, present a whole different way to do the same thing, or go for character assassination via name calling/ad hominem attack techniques, out of frustration.

The last is the easiest thing to do when someone (media "pundits" usually) causes cognitive dissonance in an ignorant viewers mind. I tend to picture a "gum chewing, lip smacking, valley girl style" person at about that point.

See, I can do it too, but I got reason to. I had never heard of a single Ron Paul complaint before he announced. How in the world did he run and get elected for 10 terms as a congressmember? Why do you haters think it's so hard to find concrete dirt on the guy, I know you try, but your kung-fu is weak.

Yep, now is the payoff for a career of integrity. He has led the life of a boy scout. Married to one woman, for decades. Has refused K Street largesse for his entire career.

Sometimes karma works. Sometimes people can see integrity.

People looking to attack Paul do so through trying to discredit his supporters not him. I have never heard someone try to argue for an Interventionalist Policy , rather they just say isolationist to slander him and misrepresent the facts.

He holds the values of conservatives but has the inaction of liberals so he is prettymuch a volleyball in the scheme of politics! But you need to chose which side of the fence you are on or you never win a game! He is missing a decisive gene I think!

To people like Rick K (yes, I was your first thumbs down), I thumb you down not because you disagree with me but because you fail to answer the question.

The truth is however is that people will believe what they want. I don't know what drives people to make flippant disparaging remarks about him here and elsewhere. I have heard some of the charges against him, and it is clear to me that they have not stuck. He is indeed above reproach. Those who dislike him either have some issues with his position (okay) or (for the more closed minded) simply have to offer dissent with no substance (most of the dissent seen here on y/a).

Ron Paul has excellent views on critical issues making him a favorite to challenge Democrat Hillary Clinton for the race to Presidency.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

His actions and his history as a Congressman speaks louder than any word, promise or pitch...and, I do believe him at his word. He has not been bought out by any lobby group, this is why he needs the people to continue to fund his campaign...because he is for the people. Most politicians are bought our by groups and corporations to do their bidding. There is not one other candidate on the Republican ticket than can match that ethic, nor RP's thrift on spending while campaigning. McCain has been quoted as saying" "Ron Paul is the most honest man in congress."

ron paul is using honesty and integrity to win over the american people
the marxists and neo-cons are not sure how to counter that because none of them have ever come anywhere near honesty or integrity

Ron Paul is untouchable.

He's an honest man who's voting record speaks for itself.

Can't say that about any of the other candidates.
