Sometimes a gift card can be complimented with candy, like a box of chocolates or something like that. Also, photos are pretty good too. Or even a hand made card. Try to make it a personal complimentary gift to an otherwise impersonal main gift. Good luck!

I did & I gave three. The three people were in another state & didn't know what they wanted nor what they already had. I received 2 very nice gifts I can't use. I would have rather received a gift card.

I know a site that you can order personal gift albums that the person can pick out what they want. You pay a set price and it the album has about 50 different gifts to choose from. The person picks what they want out of it and it is sent to their house. All you have to do is pick out what album you want to get for them. A great gift idea, all of my friends and family love it.

Lottery tickets are always a good idea. I've given them to people before and they usually like them. If you need more gift ideas, check this resource: http://www.whatareyougiving.com

Consider this about gift cards: $8 billion went unused last year. They usually have fees and lose value over time.
I hate them for the above reasons. People lose them or forget about them.
Give cash, a cute card and a modest gift. (cute, soft socks, gloves, scarf, candle, cd or dvd, book, etc.)

For your cousin - her favorite candy to take to the movies
For your aunt and uncle - a bottle of wine for after dinner at home.
For your brother - a video game magazine or a game guide (if you know what game he is looking for)
