The goal is to get x alone, then simplify.

3/x^2 = 125 --- Given
3 = 125x^2 --- Multiply both sides by x^2
3/125 = x^2 --- Divide both sides by 125
sqrt(3/125) = x --- square root of both sides
sqrt(3/5)/5 = x --- take out 5^2 from the denominator of the fraction under the radical to make it the most simplified.

The answer left in the radical form should be ok, but if you want the approx. answer, sqrt(3/5)/5 is about 0.155

times both sides by x^2 to get 3 = 125 ^2
Divide 3 by 125 to get x^2, which is equal to 0.024
Square root to give x, which equals 0.15491933
or 0.155 to 3 significant figures
