Santa Clause is real. The story of him traveling around the world in one night however isn't.

If your 65 year old aunt is anything like my 67 year old grandma, then she knows Santa Clause isn't alive. She is probably someone who is deeply involved in Christmas and loves 'believing' in Santa Clause. These family members are the ones who are typically best with small children and will never admit that Santa doesn't exist, even if they are dealing with people who know better.

There is a story about a man who used to give toys to children and he became Santa Claus. Where the story came about with the flying around the world, I have no idea. But Santa is real to those who BELIEVE. He brings the magic to Christmas where the birth of Jesus is the religious part of the day.

well santa clause was real person but not like we know him now his name was Saint Nicholas here is something that i've found out read it it's usefull

"Saint Nicholas of Myra is the primary inspiration for the Christian figure of Santa Claus. He was a 4th century Christian bishop of Myra in Lycia, a province of the Byzantine Anatolia, now in Turkey. Nicholas was famous for his generous gifts to the poor, in particular presenting the three impoverished daughters of a pious Christian with dowries so that they would not have to become prostitutes. He was very religious from an early age and devoted his life entirely to Christianity. In Europe (more precisely the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Germany) he is still portrayed as a bearded bishop in canonical robes. The relics of St. Nicholas were transported to Bari in southern Italy by some enterprising Italian merchants;[2] a basilica was constructed in 1087 to house them and the area became a pilgrimage site for the devout. Saint Nicholas became revered by many as the patron saint of seamen."

Santa Clause is not real anymore. There was a Saint Nicholas but he passed. Now all we have is the Christmas spirit.

The legend of Santa follows:

I believe he was a real man we should aspire to mimic today...

The legend of Santa Claus can be traced back hundreds of years to a monk named St. Nicholas. It is believed that Nicholas was born sometime around 280 A.D. in Patara, near Myra in modern-day Turkey. Much admired for his piety and kindness, St. Nicholas became the subject of many legends. It is said that he gave away all of his inherited wealth and traveled the countryside helping the poor and sick. One of the best known of the St. Nicholas stories is that he saved three poor sisters from being sold into slavery or prostitution by their father by providing them with a dowry so that they could be married. Over the course of many years, Nicholas's popularity spread and he became known as the protector of children and sailors. His feast day is celebrated on the anniversary of his death, December 6. This was traditionally considered a lucky day to make large purchases or to get married. By the Renaissance, St. Nicholas was the most popular saint in Europe. Even after the Protestant Reformation, when the veneration of saints began to be discouraged, St. Nicholas maintained a positive reputation, especially in Holland.

You do not prove that a thing doesn't exist. If some one says that a thing, like Santa, exists then they must present evidence that it does.

This is because it has been long recognized that you can not conclusively prove the non-existence of anything.

Santa Claus is real, you just have to believe.
he is a spirit that lives in our hearts and minds.
as a child i lost my faith in Santa and didn't find it for many years, however, it is back and firmly in place and no one will ever convince me he isn't real. i have seen my Christmas miracle and Santa played a big part in it!
don't try to ruin your aunt's Christmas spirit, leave her in peace with it. one day you too will find your Christmas spirit and you will shake your head at how you once tried to dissuade someone else's.
Merry Christmas!

Why try to prove that to her? If she is a believer..let her believe. There is nothing wrong with that.
Believing in Santa makes people happy and why would you want to take that away just to prove a point!
