Me and my friend where riding his in the desert and hit a rock. It tore the foot pegs off the bike and jammed the transmision. (A rock!) Now it sits in the corner of a garden shed because it's not worth the money to fix it. Get a Japanese bike please!

Most of these are knock offs from the older Honda XR smaller bikes. several years back, the Chinese imported bikes, they would disassemble them, make casting molds, and started reproducing what appears to be virtually an exact replica ... the problem came into play in that they used inferior materials, did not do proper treatments (like heat treating, used cheap alloys in their castings, thinner wall tubing, etc.)... Likewise, they drastically loosened up the tolerances for much cheaper production and assembly, thusly causing even more wear due to improper fits and slop between parts …

So the bikes look pretty good, run pretty good for a short period of time before starting to disintegrate… all bikes have wear parts that need replacing, and when you use extremely poor quality materials along with sloppy tolerances, these wear parts wear much faster… then you get into trying to replace these parts, which is virtually impossible in the USA anyway… sometimes, you get lucky and can go to a bike shop and buy a name brand replacement part and it will fit, but not always.

The only way I would have one of these is if someone gave it to me … but I would not rely on it lasting very long … basically, these are disposable bikes, when they break, you throw them away…

JUNK
STAY AWAY
They're Chinese imports.
You'll be lucky if it lasts a year before any problems arise.
I've seen Chinese junk defective right out of the shipping crate.
When it breaks - Pepboys won't fix it cause they're not a repair shop.
You can't get parts - only from an authorized dealer - search the web to see how unpopular the brand is and where you can get parts and service.
If you can at all.
If you're thinking about repairing it yourself - shop manuals are not sold to the public.
Spend a few extra bucks to get a quality brand name machine.

Pep Boys is an auto parts store, not a motorcycle dealership. That should be your first clue. The second clue should be that it's a new dirtbike that sells for $600 or $700 dollars. Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha cost many times that much. Why do they cost more? Because they aren't cheap Chinese/Taiwanese junk.
