He is very alert for his age. Is there anything that you would recommend for a gift that your own kids liked at that age. (He will be 5 1/2 months by then) He absolutely loves his exersaucer. Maybe something like that that he could play with...

Our Son would be 5 months on Christmas, and my Husband and that i will get him a pair of academic toys, and thats approximately it. He has a lot of garments and that i've got quite some relatives, so there'll be no scarcity of presents for him on Christmas. i individually dont think of its had to load up on a group of presents for a 4 or 5 month old, whilst they grow old they might have greater of a thought of Christmas, so dont bypass overboard, some amazing little toys, or some clothing are good.

My son is 4 1/2 months old also, I got him a build a bear monkey that has a voice recorder on it so that when it's just him and daddy or nana he can still hear mommy's voice. I got him a big stuffed elmo. I got him a teething ring (made in USA) and a new tummy time blanket that folds into a pillow.

Lots of Love and hugs, don't forget the kisses!
Keep thinking the way your thinking on the kind of gifts you would like to get him. I believe in any thing that helps his motor skills...I did that for my boys and I have some real smart kids on my hands.
16 and 6. They are on the top five list! Not together in case some one thought different!
More exposure to education the better for the future of the child!

Toys, clothes, and things like that are always a good thing but a keepsake can have more meaning. You could even chose something that is part of a collection that you add to every year.

He's not quite ready, but there is a doggy or a horsy that the kids rock on. My kids loved it so much that they would fall asleep on it--rock themselves to sleep!!

get him several toys, and maybe a few picture books. do not spend too much money because you will see that he will enjoy the wrapping paper and boxes much more than the actual presents! .
