Susan, I just tried it, and my self - vote was entered correctly, so for this user, it is still working. I always thought they might change it at some point. I have never felt guilty for voting my own answer as Best Answer - after all politicians vote for themselves when they go to the polls.

lol. . .I wonder how many people will be screwed now? I know I would be a few times over. lol
But, I do only vote for my answer when it really is the best. I do read the other answers. My opinion isn't the only one that's right, after all.
Edit: I just checked on this, and you can vote for your own answers still. I'm not sure why you couldn't when you tried.

I'm glad, its kind of cheating. Either it will make almost no difference or no one else will vote so its not really an achievement to get a best answer like that. I feel cheated when I get a best answer and only one person voted in general.

I gave up voting my own best answers for Lent and never went back. Good to know the BA's I have with one vote are now valid kudos from another.

During that coffee break, obviously I couldn't come here so I went to see what's going on with Yahoo! and stuff and came across this Q and a lot of ppl said that it wasn't fair that one can vote their own Q.So maybe they [Yahoo!],listened and took notice.

Seriously? Darn... I used to like getting a point for voting, plus an extra three for having "chosen" a best answer.
Thanks for letting us know.

truthfully...and why might that be cheating?? in the event that they did no longer prefer us to vote for our very own solutions than they does not make it conceivable to do? it is unlike we are in a position to work out our avatars...!!
