If your asking for an opinion?
Stiff Sanctions
International relations a measure taken by one or more nations to apply pressure on another nation to conform to international law or opinion...
By not permitting other countries to deliver food, clothing, meds & etc. would send a message to those to who doesn't want to conform to humane ways of peace - would be a darn better way and not be costly in LIVES by having a war.
Isolate them from the rest of the world and let them suffer on there own and they might decide to see another way?

Iran has a large influence on Syria, Hezbollah, and Hamas. Being left out of Annapolis was a big snub to Iran and Hamas. So that leaves within the peace process Syria, who can attempt to be a spoiler. The Palestinian Authority doesn't have the power to control extremists in its own territory.
Ahmadinejad has already announced Iran's will to drive Israel into the sea. The charters of both Hamas and Fatah call for the destruction of Israel. I believe Iran Will do everything within its power to help them achieve these ends, whatever means necessary!
I was preparing a report for a Sociology class several years ago. While trying to figure out my subject the History channel aired a show called "Iran Exposed" and, coincidentally, "Hitler Youth". It was uncanny the similarities. If children are taught hatred no changes can be made.
Saudi Arabia can have some influence over other Arab nations, will they exert this power? And which direction will they exert this if they do?
Additionally, anti-Semitic feelings are not confined to the Middle East. Seen recently in Germany. See source
It seems that force is the only thing that will seem to stop them, however, force will only unite them more. They will propagandize it as an attack against Islam (Hitler taught them well)
It will only take a few to disrupt the peace process. Israel needs to be assured of its security. I don't see that forthcoming.
It will take the World community to intervene!

I actually think Iran can be reasoned with if international players take the right stance. They can't give up too much in negotiation, meaning either side. On the one hand, for all the tough talk, Iran probably wants to be part of the world community, but on the other hand, Hamas is all about propaganda, and will never be truly satisfied. Hamas can never be appeased. The only thing to do is tread carefully on all fronts

The world may eventually be forced to give them what they want. But until they develop a real ability to create havoc, I say keep the barking dogs on the end of a long leash...and even then some strategic applications of cruise missiles might serve to keep them neutered.
I certainly don't aniticipate peace in the Middle East in my lifetime...this latest show at an attempt for peace is a joke.

They actually train their kids to hate and hold on to discontent for another race or religion. This just didn't happen over night and won't go away over night. If all you know is hatred and anger, then you will live and die with a sad life. They aren't opened minded enough to let others have their own beliefs and are afraid even to let their own people make life changing choices. Turn back the clock and you will see them today and tomorrow , the same as long, long ago. Filled with blind anger and hatred. Nothing can be done to help those who won't help themselves.

Sometimes it takes a war to bring about peace. All the war - mad people have forgotten what ravages of a war can be. They will not rest until they have all killed themselves. Pity ! These guys never grew up . Their fight for toys in childhood has graduated to war for lands.

I'd simply keep an eye on both of them, then simply let the two parties kill each other off.
After all, working toward a better life is their choice to make, or not.
