My friend heard about an opportunity to become a stripper and asked me to do it with her. She said she wouldn't do it alone and I know that she really needs the money. I don't want to do it but I don't know a nice way to tell her.
I don't know if my family would approve of me doing something like this. And I know for a fact her mother wouldn't approve of her doing something like this. I really don't know what to do. She's 26 but I know this is still a really bad thing for her to do. Should I tell her mother? I know for a fact that strippers end up doing drugs and having sex with their customers. I don't know her mother that well so I don't really know what to say to her.

I know even though she is 26 her mother would still be concerned. And I am not thinking about joining her because I'm not that type of person. And I have school in the evenings.

jvrmllh- I feel really bad for ur sister. She sounds really smart but it's sad that she thinks stripping is the way to get through school. nobody should be proud of that.
Working hard in a real job while your in school full time is something to be proud of; not stripping.

Well, I am glad you used some facts about strippers. Interesting that they do drugs, I have no idea.
I still think you should join her. At least try it out and see if you like it. Strip clubs are open 24 hours so they can work around your school schedule. Call her mom up, maybe the 3 of you can work together.

Let her do what she wants. She a grown woman, dont tell her mother. I know strippers that have gone both ways...some end up getting addicted to drugs and screwing their clients for more money, but then again there are the strong willed that go there just to get the job done and leave...and they own 2 or 3 really nice homes and drive luxury cars. They all make greattt money like $700-$2000 a night depending on where you are at. Just be sure shes knows what she is getting into! there is always the prussure to do drugs...make sure she not curious!

The strippers YOU know do drugs and have sex with customers (btw, that's not a stripper -- that's a prostitute). My sister is 26 -- she completed a bachelors with a double major (philosophy and math) is now in law school. She has been a stripper on and off for 6 years to pay her way through college. She is not on drugs and isn't a hooker. She is beautiful and smart and feels proud paying her own way. I am proud of her. You should be ashamed of yourself. Running and telling a full grown adult's mommy that you don't like something they are thinking about (and have not actually participated in) is childish. Grow up and let your friend make her own decisions. Don't get pulled in unless you want to be stereotyped. ** Stripping is hard work. You can't give in to temptations like drinking and you have to eat right. If you want to make 6 figures a year like she does, you have to work out in the gym more than 3 hours a day to keep your body looking great. **

If she is your friend you should definitely NOT tell her mom!!! She is 26, she's a grown women, she's going to do what she wants to do. (Unless her parents are rich and can get her out of her bind) Not all strippers have sex and do drugs!!! Have you been one??? Don't think so... If she is a strong willed women she can do it, if she needs to, and she can make a lot of money. Women that have sex w/men are considered "escorts" not strippers.. If she is set on doing this make sure she does her research... Some strip clubs are actually pretty classy (Of course theirs always some skanks) Also, make sure she has a time-line for how long she wants to do this, and how much money she wants to save... But she better hurry b/c 28 is the cap out age!!!

I hate to disagre with you but I get the idea that this isn't so much about her as it is you. If you want to join her and strip, I think you should do it. If you want to strip alone, I think you should do it. Exotic dancers can make some very good money and I believe your concerns about the drugs and sex are unnecessary. If you make the decision to dance you can make these other decisions as well. If you honestly feel that this is a bad thing for you to do......avoid it. But if you have an interest you should at least pursue it long enough to choose for yourself. Don't sell your mother short about understanding. You inherited your curiosity from someone. I'd say there's a good chance it was her.

if she is a real friend then she will respect u once u tell her NO!!! if she gets angry then let her go...she doesn't have ur best interest at heart....express her how u feel and help her find another option for fast cash...this world is too small to do something like this and later regret it b/c stripping is not something u can just forget...and people can say its sterotyping all day but not too many people want to befriend a stripper if they meet her there!!!

if you don't believe in doing it then don't
i would sit her down and say hey i know you want to do this and we are best friends and i care for you a lot but i can't do it i don't believe in putting myself out there like that i don't want to do anything that would make my family veiw me as something i'm not or in a bad way i don't think it's a wise idea to go thru with it but if you do it then it's all up to you ...... or something like that
i wouldn't tell her mother it would just make for a really bad problem with you and your friend and the family so basically a big huge drama problem and if she goes thru with it in time her family will probally find out
ps if she needs money that bad she can probally find a reg job and just work out her money probs one step at a time big large sums of money wont come magically or fast unless there's some morally wrong string attached or you win the lottery

Ummm hell no dont tell her mother. Its not your place. And btw if she is trying to get you to go with her and do this and you are considering it then what does this say about you??? Can your friends talk you into just about anything?? Unless this question is not for your friend its for you. Eighter way if you are considering becoming a striper then try striping in front of a old, fat smelly dude who will want to put his hands on you and you are expected to turn this guy on because he is paying for you to do so. If you (or your friend) can do this and have no trouble telling your friends, family what your source of income is then by all means have at it. The world needs more hoe's for guys to look at.

i would feel good about having a girl friend who looked good enough to be a stripper. but i wouldn't like the idea of her showing her body to other men just for money - it just seems a little degrading to me

1. IF you dont want to be a stripper, say to your friend.."Hey thats not for me"
2. If she wants to be a stripper, say "Wow...goodluck on that."
3. Know that you dont know anything about being a stripper, what they do , or what other vices she may or may not be exposed to.
4. Its NOT your job to talk to her mother...god..she 26...
