I'm talking about 4 bedrooms and more have a maid, or housekeeper that cleans it? Let's say in your area do most of the moms of households have a cleaner or do they do it themselves?

Now, if they do it themselves are they working jobs full time, and if so where do they find the energy to maintain to clean a huge home?
Believe me, I can spot a fibber who says they work 5 days, cook, clean home.... that is impossible unless you are an energizer bunny.

I don’t t think anyone in my neighbor has a regular cleaning person, some have the clearing people come one or twice a year for a thorough cleaning…

Personally I don’t a live in looking house and spending a few hours a week scrubbing the house ~I find it give me a sense of pride and accomplishment… maybe I’m crazy.. ;)

If you are a neat freak and have to or want to work a full time job ~ you will probably need help...

I had a friend who’s mom cleaned all, all day ~ she pick up the phone with a tissue and made me stand on a matt if I were fortunate to be invited in the house… it was spotless, I eat right off the kitchen floor for real! LOL…

To each their own… ;)

We just built a 4 bedroom home 3 years ago and yes it was a big adjustment but I find it easy to do one floor at a time, my husband is OCD so the house is generally picked up all the time but once a month I spend about 3 hours doing the deep cleaning. I am usually able to knock off early a few hours a month from work and that is when I go home and just have at it and get it all done.

2 of my friends have maids, there homes are spotless. They also work full time.

My other friend has her husband move the furniture & mop the tile floors and she does the rest on Saturday. another spotless house.

I work 5 days a week, cook, have 2 dalmations that shed constantly a husband that cannot stand to throw anything away, and have a weekend house on the river. So in my house dog fur is a condiment and if you cannot stand a messy house and some dust, don't bother coming over.

I would love to have a maid, but my husband had a maid before we married & he could not find anything because it was put away and he claimed that things went missing...

I don't know anyone personally that has a house keeper... I'm a SAHM mom but, I do work part-time in the evening.. I'm able for the most part to get most of my housework done... Although, my husband does help me with the laundry and such... I guess if you have the money to burn then get a housekeeper I have no need for one.... good luck

Clean as you go. You won't have a big mess if you don't make it. Major cleaning every 3 months.
