doesn't it Pee you off
do you ask them back for it or drop hints about it, or think to yourself "hey its only money and i value our friendship much more, i'll let it slide this time"

Yes I have had people who have done this. I tend to treat these people the same way that a creditor does. Inevitably these people come back and want to borrow again. That is when I get the distinct pleasure of saying NO!!! Then I remind them of their already delinquent debt owed to me. This usually makes them either pay up or stop talking to me at all. In the case of the latter, it only proves that they were not a friend anyway, just another DEADBEAT!!!!

yes. there are people who still owe me money from in high school.

I swear if I didn't lend money to people I'd have at least $2000 more than I do.

I just had too big of a heart. I no longer lend to anyone except my parents or brother but with them I hate accepting the money when they pay back. My parents raised me so it's my exchange if they need cash and my brother has a son and if I take the money I feel like I'm taking from my nephew and that's not okay.

Oh gosh yes. I never ask for it back. I usually drop small hints or keep it to myself. But, this is also a bad thing because then people will take advantage of you before you know it.

In a situation like that theres only so much you can be helpful to your friends without them actually taking the mick with. You shouldnt have to ask for it back i mean they would give it to you knowing that they borrowed it. In those cases i tend not to lend it if its for something that can wait, its easier not to have to ask for the money back then. You shouldn't always have to let it slide....

I had one friend that was going through a hard time, he needed to borrow 200 for his rent. Needless to say I didn't get it back and it has been two years. I asked him everytime I saw him and he just ignored me. He would tell me he bought himself all of this crap and I would say hey wheres my money. I don't talk to him anymore because he wanted me to loan him more. LOSER.

No. I rarely lend money to friends. If I DO, I make sure to let them know that I will need to be repaid by such and such a date. This generally expediates the repayment process and makes them feel more accountable.

I don't lend money to my friend, we made a pact years ago never to do that because we value our friendship too much, I do occasionally lend money to my niece but she always pays it back on pay day.

No because I never lend money. But then, my friends never ask either. And if I lend it to my kids I don't plan on getting it back.
