My friend is having a baby and she's started to narrow down her name options.
Her first choice right now is Natalie Pearl.
I don't really know what to think of it.
What do y'all think.

Yeah, Pearl is a family name - she's been asked by her Grandmother to use it...

Apparently it's really popular back in Nfld.

It reminds me of my mom's aunt. Ugh. OLD lady name for sure.

Is there someone in the family named Pearl? Pearl is an old, old name, but if she's passing it down in the family it's okay. I love Natalie.

My mom's name was Karen, and her aunt's name was Beryl (another rock like Pearl), so they named her Karen Beryl.

Lovely. I adore Pearl, by the way. Almost always a beautiful middle name choice, but without being an overused filler like many others along those lines. Very nice. ;)

Very elegant and feminine. I like the use of family names as middle names it gives them such a personal touch.
