Not necessarily because one has the option to
not exercise his/her vote. But yes, when the choice of candidates leaves little or no option
if one wants to exercise his franchise. In the final analysis I would tend to agree with you.

U R right.
On an average, aboutr 40% people vote. Where three candidates R contesting, a chap getting 15% votes is elected. Which means 25% have voted against him ( his active haters ) & 60% R not interested either way.
Even thereafter, this representative of only 15%non-haters could be won over by another party & ditching all his 15% voters , join a group espousing just the opposite cause. So now , all the 100% hate him, & yet, he continues to represent (!) them. No remedy !

I disagree. Why would I hate anyone? Elections are to vote whom you think is right candidate. You might not find a right candidate in that case you find a candidate who is least harmful, or whom you dislike the least. Not that whom you hate. I don't even hate Modi eventhough he is the biggest ciminal of today's Indian politics so why would I hate anyone else.

Electios in India is not a case of the voter electing the candidate of his choice!
On the other hand, it is a mela of people to stand in Q and confirm the Party's selected candoidate, by prssing the EVM!

Yes, because by the time they make it that far, they have their hands in hundreds of people's pockets!
Get rid of lobbyist, set term limits, reduce their pay and we'll have MUCH better candidates!

Well, I liked Ike, but I was just a kid then. I liked Kennedy. But since then, not a lot to stir up my appreciation.
