Are you sure the question isn't 166 and 2/3 %? If it is, the answer is 500. If it's the way you've written it, the answer's 499. (100% of any number is that number. 66 2/3% is two thirds. Two thirds of 300 is 200. So 300 + 200 = 500. One percent of 300 is 3 and 1/3 of that is 1, so if you're supposed to find 166 1/3%, just subtract 1 from the other answer.)

1.6633 x 300 = 499
