I have a International DT 433 truck and I have a problem when starting early in a cold morning. I've changed the batteries and the starter as well and still have that problem. In the morning when I am trying to start it, its like it can't make a contact and there is no sound, no nothing. Sometimes when starting I can hear short striking sound and than crancking and the engine starts. During the day when the engine is warm I don't have any problem starting up. It mostly happens when it's very cold outside. So if anybody has some experience or have dealt with that kind of problem please feel free to share. Thanks!

Also I measured the batteries and they're fine but I still think that the problem could be electrical.

Check the ground wire from the battery to the engine. Remove & check for good contact. Remove all rust & grease. Make sure the frame & cab have go grounds as well.

cold weather can have an effect on fuel evaporation as well as battery performance, depending how cold. Usually for cold climates a block heater is added to keep engine warm overnight and a lower viscosity oil is used to allow engine to turn over quicker, like 5-30 wt. also a fuel additive is available for cold weather starts so fuel will vaporize properly.
