For humans and many other organisms, females are XX and males are XY. If you are considering a specific trait on the X chromosome, you can indicate the dominant allele with a superscript upper case letter and the recessive allele with a superscript lower case letter. If you're just looking at sex of offspring, then you can just use the X and Y as they are.
Do do the Punnett square, just put the two X's on the side and the X and the Y on the top. Then, fill in the boxes. What you will end up with are 4 boxes, two containing XX and two containing XY. So, half of the offspring will be female and half will be male.
Again, if you're looking at a particular trait, just pay attention to the alleles present in the male and female parents.
