Because he is really young, he just looks older being raised by gorillas and getting all buff in the process running on all fours!

It's just one of those things.
Every fictional story has plot holes and little things like that that don't really make sense. Some are more obvious than others.

probably because he didn't ahve the testosterone levels to grow one. oh and maybe because he is a fictional character.
