either your network card/port doesn't work, you don't have the drivers installed, or the network connection just needs to be configured in red hat. the best way to find out if the port has basic connectivity is to first plug it into a network switch. if you get a link light status, then at least you know it's functioning (hopefully). in that case, you just need to get the proper drivers installed and/or configured. go to red hat's support site and do a search for "network configuration" and/or "network drivers". also, there's no such thing as "rhel 10". release 5 is the latest version of rhel. "red hat enterprise linux" (rhel) & "red hat linux" are not the same thing. as far as i know, red hat linux only goes up to release 9.

If it were me, I would go to a machine that has a good internet connection and just download the correct NIC driver for RHEL 10 from the Intel site. Just like with windows, if you don't have the correct driver it doesn't work. During installation the Red Hat should tell you the version. If it is older than 7, just download the newer version like stated above!
There is a big difference in Fedora and RHEL 10 (Red Hat)!
For one, Fedora is free, RHEL 10 isn't!

Hope that helps. God Bless

Uninstall this piece of crap and download for free the NEW Fedora 7 from here :

Trust me Fedora 7 will detect your NIC. :)
