You need to get a new doctor! (If you can) First of all I am of 'average weight' and didn't start to really show until about 19-20 weeks,I'm sure you heard it all before but it really depends on a number of factors like your build, the size of your baby, what and how you are eating etc..and 160 bpm is perfect! my bet is your having a baby girl...when I was 16 weeks pregnant the heartbeat was the same...if it slightly goes up its normal it all depends on how active the little one is at the time of the Doppler exam. You and baby sound perfectly fine!! Congrats and good luck with everything!

Yes. I'm 17 weeks and I don't really have a bump yet. Its really frustrating! Yes that is a normal heartbeat. I think the last time I went in it was 180. Even if the doctor was in a rush, if she thought something was wrong she would have stopped to take care of you.

Everyone starts showing at different times. I've had some friends that hardly showed at all.
And 160 is just fine.
But if you're concerned and the doctor seems rushed I would ask to talk to a nurse so you get all your questions answered. It's not fair for you to get less time b/c the doctor is late for someone else.!
Call your ob office. The nurses at mine are always willing to answer questions over the phone

That is normal. I'm almost 15 weeks and pregnant with a boy. His heart rate was 160 when I went in last time. I am starting to show, but barely. I can still wear my regular clothes and im just 2 weeks behind you. No worries!

Don't panick! Some women don't show till they are way past 20 weeks. I had my appointment and my unborn son's heart rate was between 140 - 170 depending on his movement and was told that this is completely normal. I know it's a stressfull time being preggo as there is so much to fear but try to relax as it's better for baby. Good luck with the 2nd half of your pregnancy.

Every woman carries her baby different, so it's normal not to "show" yet at 17 weeks, especially if it's your first baby.
160 for the baby's heartbeat is good too. I think girl's usually have a faster heartbeat =)

With my first baby, I did not show until 20 weeks, and it was like an overnight thing, I swear! Your baby just isn't that big yet, but don't worry because you will definitely show very soon!
Also, 160 is great- probably a girl. My son's hb was 145. congrats
