Who is one player on your favorite NFL team that is much better than the average NFL fan realizes?

I'm a Colts fan and I'm gonna pick Bob Sanders. I still dont think most fans realize how freakishly good he is.

I'd agree with Marlin Jackson

Bob Sanders is a pro-bowler(first DB to make pro-bowl since Colts moved to Indianapolis), James Harrison will be a pro-bowler, and Rex is not underrated he just sucks. Someone mentioned Tom Brady as underrated.
Seriously, he is not underrated.
Larry Fitzgerald, Demarcus Ware both are pro-bowler's as well.
Here is the REAL Under-Rated NFL players:
5.Kyle Van Bosch (Tennesse Titans DL)
4. Kellen WInslow (Browns TE)
3. Adrian Wilson (Cardinals S)
2. Ronnie Brown (Miami RB)
1. Greg Ellis (Cowboys LB)

Thats right Ellis, without Ellis, the Cowboys pass rush would be nothing.
Remember when Ellis went down last year, the Cowboys limped to the playoffs, and Offenses exposed there weak pass rush.

I'd say Joseph Addai. He kept that play action going in the Colts offense when E.James left and I wasn't sure it was gonna happen. But he had Rhodes as his fullback. But after Rhodes left after last season it really worried me. But he's pretty much all they have in the back field now and he's been amazing. I think when most fans watch the Colts they see Manning fake the ball and throw. I don't think the AVERAGE NFL fan realizes that you can't have any running back to have an effective play action offense. It has to be a good running back that the lineman and LBs can be worried enough that the ball will be handled to them.
It's Crazy because I couldn't stand him at LSU because I'm here in GA as a UGA fan. I also couldn't stand Edgerrin James in college at Miami because he ruined UCLA's chance at the title game in '98 with 300yards on the ground.
But yet they both end up being part of my Colts and a big big key to that offense.

Bob Sanders is freaking great... hence the avatar. However, he gets an awful lot of national coverage to be considered "underrated". I'd have to go with Marlin Jackson who's filled in nicely at the starting CB this year and has also shown to be a big hitter.

I work in a sports bar and I couldn't tell you the first thing about football. All I know is my boss is a huge Packers fan so when I'm working and asked what my favorite team is I always impress my boss by saying the packers.

Brandon Marshall. He's is only a second year player, and is starting to get out there but i don't know of another young reciever who is more exciting to watch than him. He breaks like two tackles everytime he touches the ball. So i think he is going to be a big name one day.

As a Patriots fan I would say Matt Light is a highly overlooked lineman. He didn't have a good game last sunday, but throughout the season he has really been good.

Walter Jones and Lofa Tatupu, Seahawks.

Sanders is a freak, but underrated might be a stretch...

Just because I have a platform right now, I also have to give a shout out to the most OVERRATED, Troy Palamalu. All he does is show up late to plays and throw his body into the pile, WHY CAN"T PEOPLE SEE THIS!?!?!?!

Sorry to hijack your question...But he IS overrated.

KELLEN WINSLOW

He is a big reason for the Browns' success. He's an athlete among athletes and probably the best receiving TE in the NFL.

the man does not drop balls.

it's hard to find someone underrated on the Giants, but despite all the sacks, Osi Umenyora still flies under the radar. He's a beast rushing the passer, and he's as fast as a defensive back.
