in the end nothing can stop a dedicated hacker. What you can do is make sure that you delete all of your cookies and internet history. Have a few firewalls (which you can get easily) pay for security services at a good computer shop near you (i mean security like norten) Run your anti-virus and all your systems like that... and if your afraid of getting hacked........................ Make sure all of the important information that you have on your computer isnt on it anymore.. Put it on a flashdrive. Then use an encyrptor for that flashdrive....... or unplug your ethernet cord...... But flaws are always possible and so im sorry to say. hacking can be made hard. but not impossible...

Well, if You don't have anything special in your pc, a simple firewall and anti virus would be enough for You. There are people called script kiddies - they try programs and viruses which are written by real hackers. They are the part of people connecting to other people computers and they don't even know what they are doing, just playing

u mean 100% prevention????

ITS IMPOSSIBLE

even though u have anti virus and all anti malware softwares
you're still susceptible to hackers (even the so called unhackable mac and firefox is still susceptible, so dont celebrate mac users)

infact in the here in america, the average number a computer is abused by hackers is 50 times per night

my best solution (aside from getting anti maware softwares) is to turn off ur computer when its not in use

before, people dont want to do this becoz this can damage ur hard drive coz of heat (turning on and off)

but today, this not a problem anymore so it advisable to turn off ur computer when not in use

Whilst it is impossible to stop a determined computer expert from accessing your system, simple steps will deter and deny most common attempts or exploits.A very good first line of defence is a hardware router and or top rate software firewall. Here I would suggest Zonealarm Pro,Agnitum Outpost ,etc. The nevt line of defence, and I hope some will appreciate this advice,is to install(XP only) Seconfig XP,this is a highly rated 5/5 utility which will block most of the common routes used by hackers. It is very effective and in use on my XP machines. All system updates should be installed including browser updates and Firefox,Opera are preferred to IE7.It also goes without saying that antivirus/antispyware should always be up to date and used on a regular basis. These simple steps will provide very good protection and are highly recommended and used in full by myself.Good luck!!.http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Seconfig_XP/1147798028/1

Buy or get an internet security program. The two most popula are Norton and Symantec. You can download them directly from their Web sites or you can purchase them in a store. Also, if you are using Windows, make sure your firewall settings are on.

Get an electronic gizmo that when your computer is attacked by a hacker this gizmo sends a bullet back to the dipsh*ts computer and melts his or her hard drive. And you never know it because your computer is safe.

Cheers!!

Keep your system up to date with the latest security patches
put a firewall on your computer & don't enable java script when you surf the Internet

And stay away from peer to peer and porn sights!

1. Monitor outgoing traffic. This can be accomplished via 3rd party firewalls like Zone Alarm Pro.
2. Don't do stupid sh*t like play unknown flash games that need installation.
3. Don't use garbage P2P apps like limewire.
4. Always use web-based email like yahoo or gmail. Any attachments ending with: .exe .vbs .bat are suspect.
