The British accent is the best in the world if it is well-spoken, except perhaps the Irish is better. West coast American accents are great, but any like Loyd Grossman, not so hot. Love Joey on Friends - what would that be (apart from American of course!!) My experience in America as a Brit is that they think we're Australian, but then I guess we always think Canadians are American, but at least they share a continent!

My language is spanish. I speak english too, and I like very much the british accent, but sometimes it's difficult to me to understand it. So I rather american accent.
Otherwise, there are several american and british accents

I don't believe that there is one British accent or one American accent. There are many.
If you're comparing RP (Received Pronunication) with a standard vaguely midwestern American accent, I think there are pros and cons.
RP, the Queen's English, is probably more phonetic, but the American midwestern variety is more globally influential in 2007
