Yes.

There is little logical reason why that should not be the case but I'm sure Fox news and talk radio will put a nice spin on that issue and our conservative friends can sleep again peacefully knowing that a vote for Giuliani will safe America from the socialist Hillary.

American conservatism has grown into a cult. Everyone is out to get them and everything that's riot slanted to the far right is liberally biased. Like other cult members the leaders will give them a reason why they are very different and they will accept it sorta like when other cult leaders keep postponing the end of the world cos on the dates they predicted It before the world was still there

I'm really not concerned with a Hillary Presidency. It won't happen. If the Dems. rigged the election and she would win, America as we know it would come to an end. We would become a socialist state, similar to Cuba or Venezuela.

As for Giuliani, it wouldn't be quite that bad, but we could survive it, provided we had a GOP Congress to keep him reigned in. It would be a far cry from the 'golden era' of President Bush.

I mean this from the bottom of my American, veteran heart. Republicans please choose someone other than Giuliani. Go beyond his stands on guns, gays and God and look at this man.

No I'm not trying to bait you. Rudy ain't right in any measure.

Edit: Yes I'm a Democrat.

To tell the truth,I don't think the Republicans have any idea what they want.

I think they realized that they've botched things up so badly that they can't win. I think they're just throwing Guiliani out there as a sacrificial lamb, just to give token resistance to Hillary.

This is proven by the supposition that in a normal election the Republicans would never nominate anyone so liberal as Guiliani.

Yes but the Republicans will vote for Giuliani because a women does not fit that father figure that knows best image which they rely on in times of fear.

I'm pushing for Alan Keyes myself, that man has a good head on his shoulders.

I have a problem with Rudy's obvious lack of commitment.

A lot of us think so, for different reasons.

The Ron Paul crowd doesn't approve of a whole lot of Giulliani's stances (His gun control past, the war, National ID card, economic policy and foreign policy)

The Social Far Right doesn't care for his abortion stance, his gay marriage stance, or his drag queen moment on SNL.

The Economic Right doesn't care much for his economic policy.

To be honest, I'm very surprised that he is "leading".

I don't think so, I can deal with a Democrat in office but Clinton is more of a Socialist and thats where I draw the line

Probably not. But I'm worried he will be a lightweight on international issues not related to terror.
