Think about your faith and how it influences your life and the decessions you make. Would you want a president who puts his faith first and the will of America second ? Would you feel the same way if his version of religion was different than your own ?

Great question, but where are you going with this?

I don't think that a President will put America second...his faith is his faith, not the faith of America.

Wizard...nice false info on Mormons. You sure haven't studied very much about them....

I would want a President who would put America first and his faith second I think. I especially would appreciate a President that recognized that not everyone is Christian in America. I would not want someone invoking God during speeches very much. Reagan, when he was governor of California, said that he would respect the wishes of the people when they voted in favor of allowing abortion although he was personally against it. If the religion was very, very different than my own I think I would keep an open mind but at the same time faith in one sense is a rational decision. You say in effect "I understand these beliefs and I am for them" it is not something that you're born with and have to continue. So in that sense I do feel like it is ok to be skeptical of someone's religion if they are running for office As long as don't make your decision purely on the basis of their religion.

People who are Christian, who claim to be, know that their faith comes first. If we can't pray and follow our faith in our everyday lives, then what good is our faith. And I don't mean praying publicly.
If a person is a true Christian, they would look to Jesus to be the example. He prayed for His enemies, he didn't invade and occupy their countries. And He always went away and prayed alone.
If you are referring to Mitt Romney being a Mormon, or any other candidate who may have a religion that is different than Christianity, then no, I couldn't vote for him. I don't consider Mormonism a Christian religion.
I have studied Mormonism for many years, and it doesn't agree with the Bible. But Mormons are entitled to think what they want and I have to respect that. But religion would cause me to vote one way or the other, as well as what their past record was.
If a person prays regularly in all they do, and they honor God first, then they will get the guidance they need.
I hope this answers your question.

The will of the people first. That will must be moderated with morality to prevent mob rule and the persecution of the minority. I think that's where faith comes into play...

I put my faith first, and Yes I would expect the man I elect to honer his faith as well. That is why I would never vote for a liberal, a muslim or atheist. under ANY circumstance.
